My name is Linda Szklarski and I have taught Preschool for over 30 years. I started my career after I graduated from the State
University of New York at Oneonta in 1977 with a B.S. degree in elementary education. I received my M.A./L.S. at the State
University of Stony Brook in 1983, while I was working. I began substitute teaching in elementary schools in four Long Island,
NY school districts. I then started teaching Preschool at Kiddie Castle Nursery School in Mastic, NY in 1980. Later I taught
for 25 years at Campus Kids Children's Learning Center at Suffolk County Community College in Selden, NY. I was also the assistant
director there for 20 years.
I retired in 2018 from Campus Kids and have many wonderful memories of working with children from two- to five-years-old.
I also taught two early childhood education classes at the same college for over 12 years.
I now have two young granddaughters aged 8 and 5. I have many early childhood education websites listed here for teachers,
parents, and college students who may need resources. I hope that they will be helpful for many of you.
